Case #806
At 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 150 pounds, this 38-year-old woman wanted fuller breasts. Before surgery she wore a 36B bra. She discussed her options with Dr. Andrew Smith, who is known for his experience in performing Orange County breast augmentation.
During a consultation, Dr. Smith gave the woman an in-depth explanation of the various aspects of breast augmentation. Like many women, this patient wanted to learn more about how to choose the right implant type and size. Dr. Smith explained that he offers two types of implants: silicone and saline. Each has its own set of advantages. For example, some women feel that silicone gel implants feel and look more natural. Saline implants, however, contain a solution that, if the implant leaks or ruptures, can be safely absorbed by the body. Dr. Smith and this patient discussed the pros and cons of each type and agreed on saline breast implants for her Orange County breast enlargement. During the surgery, Dr. Smith filled them to 325 cc.
After she recovered, the woman returned for her “after” photos. Her fuller breasts look natural, and she is very pleased with her shapelier silhouette.
