This 43-year-old female has a history of breast cancer and consulted originally for immediate breast reconstruction following bilateral mastectomies. At stage 1, tissue expanders were placed and throughout weekly follow-up appointments to fill them to the appropriate size to stretch a pocket for an implant, the patient was ready for stage 2 of her reconstruction, to swap out the expanders and replace them with Allergan Natrelle Inspira smooth round cohesive full-profile silicone gel implants. The time frame from stage 1 to stage 2 reconstruction was approximately 5 months.
