Dr. Andrew Smith is board-certified plastic surgeon in Orange County who distinguishes himself from the others in many ways. He is a surgeon who is skilled, experienced and truly cares about his patients.
Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He specializes in cosmetic surgery for the women and men who visit him at his locations in Irvine and Corona, California.
Before opening his Orange County plastic surgery practice, Dr. Smith trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious University of California at Los Angeles, well regarded as one of the premiere plastic surgery programs in the country. He trained with many well-respected plastic surgeons in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills including several members of the extreme makeover team.
While a chief resident at UCLA, Dr. Smith was involved in the much-publicized separation of the conjoined Guatemalan twins. The nearly 24-hour long surgery resulted in a successful separation and has been a model for several subsequent separation surgeries. Media coverage of this monumental event was captured on the Today show, Good Morning America, and the front page of the New York and LA Times.
Dr. Smith is on staff as a plastic surgeon at multiple Orange County hospitals including Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, Hoag Hospital, and Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. Outpatient surgeries are performed on location at his Irvine Plastic Surgery office. He currently is an active member of the breast center at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and Hoag Hospital.
